This is the build list for Chapter 6, ordered the way you would actually put it in place. Most of it is preparation that has to exist before anything goes wrong, since the whole point of this chapter is that bans, failures, and losses are survivable only if you set up for them in advance. Work top to bottom. The reactive playbook at the end is the one section you hope not to need, but knowing it now is part of being ready. A ban that hits a prepared creator costs a slice, while the same ban hitting an unprepared one can cost everything.

## Build your backup system first

– [ ] Set up backups on the three-two-one rule: three copies of everything, on two different kinds of storage, with one kept offsite, so no single failure leaves you with nothing.

– [ ] Use storage that is safe for adult content, either zero-knowledge encrypted cloud or mainstream storage you encrypt yourself first, plus at least one local copy you physically control, and never trust your library to a mainstream cloud that can scan it and lock you out.

– [ ] Back up the whole business and not only the content: your verification records and IDs, contracts, financial records, the export of your email list, your fan data, your passwords, and your brand assets.

– [ ] Encrypt the backup because it holds sensitive records, manage your recovery keys carefully, automate the backups so they do not depend on memory, keep file versioning on, and actually test a restore now and then.

## Build resilience so no single loss is fatal

– [ ] Spread your income across more than one platform, a primary where most of your effort sits plus a few secondaries maintained as insurance, so a ban on any one is a setback rather than the end.

– [ ] Mix your revenue types as well, across subscriptions, pay-per-view, customs, tips, text, and your own products, so no single revenue form failing takes you down.

– [ ] Own your audience by relentlessly converting platform followers into direct contacts on your email list and your own site, since this is the connection that survives any ban and the single most important piece of resilience you can build.

– [ ] Spread your discovery across several traffic sources so one algorithm change or social ban cannot cut off new audience at the source.

– [ ] Keep your back-office redundancies current, the second bank account and the backup payment processor, as part of the same discipline.

## Prepare your migration capability before you need it

– [ ] While you still hold each platform, continuously funnel its audience toward your owned channels and seed your other handles where fans will see them, because a banned account gives you no chance to post a farewell and many platforms forbid pointing fans elsewhere.

– [ ] Keep a ready plan for where you would send people and how, so that if you have to move fast you are executing rather than improvising.

## Set up a creator death file

– [ ] Build the file as an inventory plus access plus instructions: every account, where the money and any crypto keys are, access through a password manager, and clear directions for what you want done, with a quiet wind-down as the simplest default.

– [ ] Choose a trusted person to handle it, often someone other than family, and decide what gets disclosed and to whom.

– [ ] Secure the file but keep it reachable by the right person at the right time, spell out crypto access in full, plan for incapacity and not only death, integrate it with a will and an estate lawyer, and keep it updated as things change.

## If a ban hits

– [ ] Stay methodical and document everything first, screenshotting the notice, the stated reason, your account state, and any balance you are owed, before access can vanish.

– [ ] Find out whether it is a removal, a strike, or a full termination and whether an appeal exists, then appeal calmly and properly if it does while assuming it may fail and acting on other fronts in parallel.

– [ ] Pursue any payout or balance you are owed with your documentation, understanding it may be frozen, and do not let chasing it stall the rest of your recovery.

– [ ] Recover your content only if your backups somehow did not already have it, and do not try to evade the ban with a fresh account on the same platform.

– [ ] Execute your migration: tell your audience where you have gone across every channel you still hold, repeated more than once, make the jump easy with direct links and an incentive, and land them on a destination you have rebuilt to feel familiar.
